MECH Building Services Limited's approach to air hygiene means that your systems will receive the correct technical cleaning programme supported by the highest standard of backup. Ventilation Hygiene Services
The Air Hygiene group's key objective is to improve the workplace environment and the safe and healthy operation of any building or premises. It has developed a specialist range of services to monitor air quality in the workplace and is capable of acting upon that information to improve the working environment by providing in-house mechanical maintenance expertise.

This is the starting point for any air or ventilation system and comprises of an initial survey and assessment of those systems.

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Following the survey and assessment, the PPM programme is designed to encompass the monitoring and testing of indoor air quality and ducted systems. It is tailored to meet both current legislative and specific site requirements i.e:

1) Workplace- Health, Safety & Welfare Regulations 1992, ACOP L24, 33, 'Mechanical ventilation systems (including air conditioning systems) should be regularly and properly cleaned, tested and maintained to ensure that they are kept clean and free from anything which may contaminate the air'

2) HVCA, TR/19 Guide to Good Practice- Cleanliness of Ventilation Systems

3) COSHH Regulation 9, stipulates that all Local Exhaust Ventilation Plant should be thoroughly examined and tested at least every 14 month intervals (HSG 258)
